In my Strategic Writing and Media Relations course, we were tasked to write a news release about a satire award given to University of Oregon’s President Scholz. I applied my AP style knowledge, noting newsworthy elements learned throughout the class to formulate the release. I gained experience researching information and ensuring a format that captivates readers.
